Education Objectives

As a result of participating in this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize and diagnose eating disorders in everyday practice, using DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
  • Utilize treatment referral pathways for patients with eating disorder diagnoses.
  • Identify common medical complications that arise in patients with eating disorders.
  • Identify the role implicit bias may play in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with eating disorders and seek expert resources for consultation if needed.
